Committees
The residents of Highlands East have a venue to create improvement and provide their input into areas of great importance. Council has established five advisory committees that will look at current, historic, and future needs of the municipality. The committees will provide input into how municipal policy will be shaped for the betterment of the area. The scope of each committee is vast and specific to the enhancement and improvement of Highlands East. Composition of the committees vary with anywhere from 6-8 volunteers, with one member of Council acting as Chair, municipal staff in advisory roles where needed and an administrative secretary.
